Official Rules - Bass Pro Shops® – Game Number 786

Drawing Date:  November 3, 2010

  1. Submitting Qualified Entries
    1. Any valid non-winning Vermont Lottery Bass Pro Shops® ticket from game 786 qualifies to be entered into the drawing.
    2. A ticket may only be entered one time either through the mail or through the internet.  Non-winning tickets that are entered through the internet are not eligible to be entered through the mail, and tickets that are entered through the mail are not eligible to be entered through the internet.
    3. Submitting entries via the mail:
    4. Print your name, complete address, and telephone number and then sign your name in the space provided on the back of the ticket.  Only one name is allowed per ticket.  Only one ticket is allowed per envelope.
    5. Place a single non-winning Vermont Lottery Bass Pro Shops® ticket from game 786 ticket in an envelope no larger than 4.5” x 9.5”, affix postage and mail your entry to: Vermont Lottery/Bass Pro Shops®, 70 S. Winooski Avenue #242, Burlington, VT 05401.  Multiple tickets mailed in a single envelope count as one entry.
    6. Non-winning Vermont Lottery Bass Pro Shops® ticket from game 786 mailed to any other address will be disqualified.  Notification of disqualification will not be provided to the sender.

    7. Submitting entries via the internet:
    8. From the Official Vermont Lottery website (www.vtlottery.com) click on the Bass Pro Shops® 2nd Chance Drawing icon.
    9. Complete the one-time player registration.
    10. Using the email address and password set up during the registration process players may log in at any time prior to the deadline to submit a non-winning Bass Pro Shops® ticket from game 786.
    11. Entries must be received at the official Bass Pro Shops® second chance drawing mailing address or submitted via the internet by 11:59 p.m. on October 27, 2010.
    12. Vermont Lottery Marketing & Sales Representatives and/or Vermont Lottery staff shall not pick up and/or deliver tickets for entry into the drawing.

  2. Identifying Valid  or Invalid Entries
    1. A valid entry must be a valid non-winning Vermont Lottery Bass Pro Shops® ticket from game 786.  A mail-in entry will be considered a valid non-winner if, after visual verification by drawing staff it is determined to be a non-winning ticket.  An internet entry will be considered a valid non-winner if the information entered by the player matches the information in the official non-winning ticket validation file.
    2. A valid mail-in entry must contain the entrant’s name and complete address, including box number or street information, on the ticket.  *The name and address must be legible.  A ticket with an illegible name and/or address or no name and/or complete address will be considered invalid.  Lottery staff or their designee will not attempt to identify ownership of the tickets that are eligible.
    3. A valid mail-in entry must not have been also entered through the internet.
    4. A valid internet entry must have been entered by a registered user.
    5. A valid entry must have been sold by a Vermont Lottery Commission licensed Lottery agent (past or present) or by the Vermont Lottery Commission.
    6. A valid entry must not have been reported by a Vermont Lottery Commission licensed Lottery agent (past or present) as lost or stolen.
    7. A valid entry must not contain multiple names.
    8. *If an entrant has an impairment that calls for assistance with entering information on the ticket, the Lottery can provide assistance prior to submitting an entry.

  3. Drawing Entry Procedures
    1. Mail-in Entries
    2. Entries are bulk received on a regular basis from the VT PO Box by Alchemy3 in Alpharetta, GA.
    3. The entries are organized into 36” x 12” x 6” boxes with tab inserts every 100 entries.  The boxes are weight measured to ensure an accurate count per box.  The boxes are labeled from one (1) through the final mail tray received.
    4. A master digital table/db drawing file will be created with a record for each physical entry assigning: a unique entry number; a drawing number; a box number; and a position number.
    5. Internet Entries
    6. Entries are captured through the internet (http://www.vtlottery.com) and maintained by Alchemy3.
    7. Entrants must have successfully submitted the required code from the ticket.
    8. At the time of submission, the entry is verified against the Vermont Lottery’s secure list of non-winning tickets.
    9. The captured entries will be stored in a secured electronic file.
    10. After the entry deadline has passed, the internet entries will be imported into the master digital table/db drawing file referenced in section 3.1.3, and assigned a unique entry number.

  4. Second Chance Drawing
    1. The Bass Pro Shops® – Game Number 786 Second Chance Drawing will be conducted on November 3, 2010.
    2. The drawings will be conducted at Alchemy3 offices in Alpharetta, GA and will be open to the public.
    3. Alchemy3 staff will conduct the drawing.
    4. An independent auditor will be present to verify that drawing procedures were followed.

  5. Second Chance Drawing Procedures
    1. Using a certified random number generator, one (1) entry number will be selected from the total list of entry numbers in the master digital drawing file.  This entry will be designated at the winner of the Adventure Trip of a Lifetime.
    2. An additional ten (10) entries will be selected as alternates to be used in the event that the winning entry is not valid or the winner cannot be successfully contacted.
    3. Drawing staff will verify that each entry is valid based upon the criteria in section 2.0.
    4. The prize will be issued in the winner’s name only.  In the case of mail-in entries, the winner is the name that is printed on the back of the ticket.  In the case of internet entries, the winner is the name that was entered during player registration.
    5. The prize winner will be notified by mail.
    6. In the event that the Vermont Lottery is unable to successfully contact the winner within 60 calendar days of the drawing, the first alternate for that drawing will be designated as the replacement winner.  If the Vermont Lottery is unable to successfully contact the replacement winner within 30 calendar days of winner designation, the second alternate will be designated as the replacement winner.  This process will continue in 30 calendar day increments until an alternate is successfully contacted.
    7. The winner must complete a Vermont Lottery Winner’s Claim Form in order to receive their prize. Winner age will be verified, claimants under 18 years of age will be disqualified.
    8. At the conclusion of the November 3, 2010 drawing entries will be destroyed as follows:  non-winning mail-in entries will be kept for a period of 30 days and then will be shredded and recycled; non-winning internet entry records will be kept for a period of 30 days and will then be destroyed.
    9. Bass Pro Shops® – Game Number 786 Second Chance Drawing winner’s name, town and prize will be posted on the Lottery’s Official website.
    10. By entering the Bass Pro Shops® – Game Number 786 Second Chance Drawing, entrant agrees to the terms and conditions of the Bass Pro Shops® – Game Number 786 Second Chance Drawing Rules & Regulations.
    11. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.
